JOHN CH. 1, VERSES 1 - 14
I.
LIGHT HAS COME INTO THE WORLD
THE SOURCE OF THE LIGHT
John 1. 1 - 5.
1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. The same was in the beginning with God.
3. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything that was made. 4. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. v.5. And the light shineth in the darkness and the darkness comprehended it not.
* JESUS THE CHRIST IS THE LIGHT.
JOHN THE BAPTIST GAVE WITNESS OF THE LIGHT.
JOHN 1. 6 - 9
THERE WAS A MAN SENT FROM GOD, WHOSE NAME WAS JOHN, THE SAME CAME FOR A WITNESS, TO BEAR WITNESS OF THE LIGHT, THAT ALL MEN THROUGH HIM MIGHT BELIEVE. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
II. LIGHT FOR US IN T HIS DARK WORLD
1. The Source of that Light. Light for us. JOHN 8.12 .
"Then spake Jesus again unto them, I am the Light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."
2. The Spirit of Light. Light in us. I JOHN 4.13
Hereby know we that we dwell in Him and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit.
3. The Shining the Light. Light through us. Matt. 5.16 - 18.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill . For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."
III.THE RECEPTION OF THE LIGHT
John 1.10 - 13.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But to as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
IV. THE MANIFESTATION OF THE LIGHT
John 1. v. 14
AND THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH
AND DWELT AMONG US,
(AND WE BEHELD HIS GLORY,
THE GLORY AS OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN
OF THE FATHER)
FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH.
John 12.32 - 36
Jesus said unto them,
AND I, IF I BE LIFTED UP FROM THE EARTH, SHALL DRAW ALL MEN UNTO ME. THIS HE SAID, SIGNIFYING WHAT DEATH HE SHOULD DIE.
THE PEOPLE THEN ANSWERED HIM, WE HAVE HEARD OUT OF THE LAW THAT CHRIST ABIDETH FOR EVER, AND HOW SAYEST THOU THE SON OF MAN MUST BE LIFTED UP? WHO IS THIS SON OF MAN?
WHILE WE HAVE OPPORTUNITY
WE SHOULD WALK IN THE LIGHT. LEST DARKNESS COME UPON YOU, FOR HE THAT WALKETH IN DARKNESS KNOWETH NOT WITHER HE GOETH.
BELIEVING IN THE LIGHT
COMES FROM FAITH
FAITH COMES BY HEARING, AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD.
ROMANS 10.17

A CHILD OF GOD BY FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS
AND WE ARE CHANGED
THE MOMENT WE BELIEVE

WHO NOW HAS MADE OUR BODIES A TEMPLE
AND OUR HEARTS AND SOULS BELONG TO GOD.
