YOU ARE ALL THE CHILDREN OF GOD
BY FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS
I  ASK GOD TO GRANT ME WISDOM

"For by grace are ye saved through
faith, and that not of yourselves; it
is the gift of God: not of works,
lest any man should boast. For
we are his workmanship, created
in Christ Jesus unto good works, which
God hath before ordained that we
should walk in them"

Over the years of our marriage Henry drove us everywhere -   I took photos.   Nothing great, but as I look at these photos, I see a way to share my faith with others.   Then there are his sermons, and my poems, and much to ponder on.  So here I go into the BLOGGING WORLD with God helping me.  Add to that my interest in books, geneology, travel, people, i have much to put into it all.
Believing as I do that God's Word is my source and all I need for direction - I am counting on His dear Spirit to lift up the Savior in my blogs that even should the LORD JESUS CHRIST come for His Bride and take all the Believers up with him - the Blogs will still be on line for whoever wishes to read and look at and find the same faith in the Lord Jesus and that His Blood is the only way that a sinner can be saved.  His sacrifice was enough once for all, for each one who will
turn to Him.

Romans 14.7 - 9
For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.  For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.   For to this end Christ both died and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord of the dead and the living.

Jesus may come today !
Glad Day, Glad Day,
If He should Come Today,
I'll live for today
nor anxious be,
Jesus my Lord I soon shall see,
Glad Day !  Glad Day !
Jesus ! may come today !

It has been over a year since my hip was operated on and I am doing well.   In July of 2016  ago I was still having care and now here I am, back to my computer, back to studying and doing things I like to do.   How blessed I am.   I pray that I may share my faith, and give many encouragement to keep living for the Lord if they already know Him, and for others, that I might present Christ in such a way that they too will want to trust Him as Lord and Savior.

MARY AND MARTHA
In Luke 10 we have the record of how Jesus came to a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha invited him into her house.    Now here he is at her invitation, enjoying the things she did for him.   It then states that she had a sister Mary, who sat at Jesus' feet, hearing what he said.
Mary was very busy in what she did.  She was doing it for Jesus, and so she began to feel cumbered - it was a big job.   She went to Jesus and said, Lord, dost thou care that my sister hath left me to serve alone?  bid her therefore that she help me.
Hmmn.   What D I D Jesus say ? It says that Jesus answered and said "Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: but some thing is more needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away."

You and I may be busy people.
We may think that like Martha, inviting someone to share a meal is the "thing to do"...but here is Mary - who most likely was there to assist Martha, but because of  Who Jesus was, and because she knew she wanted to LISTEN TO HIM she did just that.

Today people are busy - working, eating, driving, traveling, playing.   Everyone has things that they do which they MUST DO, and everyone has some things that they WISH TO DO.   Not everyone wishes to "sit at the feet of Jesus" and yes, listen.

Every time I open my Bible I give God's dear Spirit the opportunity to speak to me.    Every time I heed that which I read, I gain new strength and help for my day.
More than that, spending time with the Lord in Prayer is very important.   God values our time with Him.    Have you made it a priority in your life?

Jesus said "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."
Again he said, "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son; if ye ask anything in my name, I will do it."

1. Seek God's Will as best as you know how.
2. Give God your expectations.
3. Use what you have.
4. Read His Word, and Listen to His Spirit for guidance.
5. When you are in doubt about something - don't!
6. Obey even when I do not understand -  God will enable you to do that.
7.    Trust God for the Supply.

In Martha's case she was burdened and laden down because she put herself in that position.   There is a time for service, but there
is a much greater need to
stop, and learn from Jesus Himself.

Climbing higher will only happen when we stop and sit at the feet of the Savior who longs for
that closeness that comes from listening to Him.

As I sit at my desk and work along, I myself need to find time alone with the Lord Jesus Christ, to seek His face, and to pray that I may be used to do His will in my life.

Thought for the Day
"USE WHAT YOU HAVE"
Do not consider what you do not have.
Don't think about what you think you should have.
Take stock and inventory.
Your resources.   Your assets.
Your belongings.   Your ideas.
Your little is much if God is in it.

WHILE TIME MARCHES ON, I KEEP WALKING - JUNE ESTELLE CASH-biblebuffjournal99

help seekers who wish to walk with me, and also Christians who want to climb higher with me as I walk with God. Jesus said I am the Way the Truth an

 Posted 2016  March

While Time marches on,   I keep walking.

Here I am heading on into my 80th decade, with a new pair of glasses [ newer than the ones I have in this photo] and I am indeed blessed beyond measure, because I am now situated by the Pacific Ocean at Drayton Harbor, in Blaine WA.
Look for my blog if you like to think about what it means to be a Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and if you are excited about His Soon Coming.    There is lots to live for, and much to think about.

My verse for today is   Philippians 3 verses 7 - 14
What things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Jesus Christ.
Yea, doubtless, and I count all things but dung, that I may win Christ.   And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith, that I may know Him, and the power of His Resurrection, and the Fellowship of His Sufferings, being made conformable unto His death, if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.   Not as though I had attained, either were already perfect, but I follow after, that I may apprehend [grasp hold of] that for which I am also apprehended [grasped] of Jesus Christ.   Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those thing which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

WITH THE SUNSET HERE IN BLAINE WA
I LEAVE YOU WITH THE THOUGHT
JESUS IS COMING SOON
IT MAY BE IN THE NIGHT TIME
IT MAY BE IN THE MORNING
BUT
IT IS A SURE AND CERTAIN THING
HE IS COMING AGAIN
AND
THE TIME IS ALMOST HERE !

ARE YOU READY ?
I AM LOOKING FOR HIM!

MY STORY PART ONE GOD'S PLAN BEHIND IT ALL

N 1941 HENRY WAS 14 YEARS OLD, AND I WAS ONLY 8

HERE IS WM. HENRY CASH, JR WITH HIS
GRANDMOTHER
THEY CELEBRATED THE SAME BIRTHDAY
ALTHOUGH
BECAUSE OF THE CHANGE
IN THE TIME
HE WAS RECORDED AS
BEING BORN ON MAY 26TH, 1927

SO ALL OUR MARRIED LIFE
WE CELEBRATED TWO DAYS
FOR HIS BIRTHDAY.

AT THE AGE OF FOURTEEN
HENRY CAME TO KNOW CHRIST AS HIS
LORD AND SAVIOR.

HIS GRANDMOTHER ENCOURAGED HIM IN HIS
CHRISTIAN LIFE.

HE DETERMINED THAT GOD WAS CALLING HIM
TO PREACH, AND HE BEGAN BY GIVING HIS FAMILY
OF SIBLINGS HIS FIRST SERMON.

Here are Margie and Helen with two cousins
Margie was the same as me.   When I was 8 she was 8.
She heard Henry give his first sermon.

The remarkable part of this is that Henry stuttered
quite badly, he thought.   How he could become
a Preacher with that difficulty he never
questioned.

This was Henry with his Mom and Dad with
siblings in 1936.    Margie was only 3.
I was in Massachusetts, only 3.

I believe God planned right
from the start to put us
together.

COME JOURNEY WITH ME
AND DISCOVER HOW
GOD DID THAT !

MY SISTER DIANE WAS BORN ON DEC 27TH 1941
AND I WAS BUSY HELPING MOTHER.
YET SOMEWHERE IN MY MIND
I SAW BLOND THIN BABIES HAPPY AND
PLAYING TOGETHER -
AND I FELT "DRAWN" TO THE BOY I SAW
IN MY THOUGHTS.

I KNOW NOW THAT BECAUSE HIS  MOTHER (ANNA MAUDE CASH) WAS
        A FULL BLOODED SWEDE,
ALL OF HENRY'S FAMILY WERE BLONDES AS BABIES, BUT THEIR
HAIR GREW DARK AS THEY GREW.

HENRY'S HAIR TURNED BLACK LATER ON,
AND IT WAS STILL BLACK WHEN THE LORD TOOK HIM HOME.

take another look at this photo.
Dad and Mom Cash with 7 little ones, Henry the oldest in 1936.
Dad Cash, (Wm. Henry Cash) was a farmer, born in Arkansas, and Anna Maude (Sandine) who married him at age 16, had Henry at age 17.   Dad moved to Imperial Valley in California when Henry was 2 years old.    By the time they got to New Mexico - his little brother John was born.  And there they stay about a year, and then headed on to California.    They had brought with them, Grandmother and Grandfather Cash (Garrett Gibson Cash and his wife), because they could not bear to have this little boy far away from them.  So leaving "the dust bowl" and finding hope in the future in California, they came too.
Calvin Terry his cousin is the same age as what Henry would have been, and he remembers him as a little boy.  They both became Pastors, preaching God's Word, and yet one was living in Arkansas, and the other in Cal, Or and later WA

In 1937 my little brother Harry whom we called Skipper was growing up,
and I was busy with Skip and now with Diane.

About the time that I was 8  we lived in Boston MA in rentals of the famous BROWNSTONE TENEMENTS which at one time had many folk very well off living in them.  However, times had changed, and they were now RENTALS and quite shabby, but still handsome with pine knot staircases and fancy lights.

I loved to discover W H O was living next to me.
Mother trusted me to come back if I had any trouble, and
it seemed as if I lived a CHARMED LIFE.
Funny, I just did not even imagine harm would come
if I explored.

So I was very inquisitive.

People were kind.
Very friendly.

God was giving a picture to me of people of all walks of life, many unhappy, and some happy, many who did not work, and others who could not work. Life was not easy, but everyone had hope.  They did what they could.  I could see that I needed A PURPOSE IN IT ALL.

I saw the hardships.
I knew life was not easy.
I wondered "Who God Was, and Was He Really Interested in me?"

On my next post I will speak a little on that subject.
When I was in First Grade in 1940, I remember there
was a picture of children in Germany posted on the wall
at school.  I looked at the picture, and said "something's wrong.
They do not look happy.   There is a sadness in their face."
What I did not know was that these children were marked for death camps.    No one was talking about that at all.

I somehow knew God had put me where I was
so that I could be safe.   And I kept seeing
pictures in my mind of a little boy who
could not say "sister"  trying to preach to
his brothers and sisters.

BLESS THE LORD O MY SOUL
AND ALL THAT IS WITHIN ME
BLESS HIS HOLY NAME.
Ps. 103.1

BLESSED BE THE FOUNTAIN - My Story part 2

BLESSED BE THE FOUNTAIN

1942  We moved in a trailer to Watertown, MA - outside of Boston MA. Here I am at 9 almost 10.   We moved just before Christmas, with the Christmas Tree already up, and I remember how hard it was when we were traveling INSIDE the trailer, to go to our new place.

Dad was working on Construction, which meant moving a lot. Mother did well in teaching me, but I had lots of questions.   My little brother would be 6 in November.   We spent a lot of time together.

Skip and I played a lot together, and because we moved so much, he would find in me his support and help.   There was a River there.
WATERTON, MASSACHUSETTS NEAR WORCESTER AND WALTHAM
There was a river there.   Our trailer was parked on a vacant lot,
we had no utilities, and it was not directly in the city.   Skip (Harry) and I would scramble up the hill back of our trailer, and we played in the woods and the large TREE.   Pretending we were
Tarzan and Jane, we were happy.    I remember that Skip saw a swing - from the tree - and wanted to get on it -  I thought he should not do that, but he persuaded me.   Then I remember telling him
"HOLD ON TIGHT"  I all of a sudden SAW HOW HUGE THAT RIVER WAS and thought, OH DEAR !  What if he falls into it?
I knew I had to get him off that swing.    So I remember thinking, Please, God, don't let him fall.   Get him back safe."  I waited until he came close and then I told him, "you must get off, now !"  He was not happy with that.   He did what I said.   I took another look at the River and thought - God helped us.  He listened.   Skip is alright.
At nine years of age, I was "a little mother" to my brother.  He liked to play cars, and to pretend.   It was not easy.
It must have been summer when that photo was taken, for we would have no school then.   I remember how
 E M P T Y my heart was for having a REASON behind my life, and WHY ? WAS I BORN ?
I remembered what Mother had said to me at age three.  "When you grow up and find out WHO God is, I want you to tell me and then I will believe too."
So let me reflect on that a moment.
When I was Five years old, my Aunt Althea took me to church.   It was the First Baptist Church in Adams, MA.   It was 1938 when I was five years old.   It was EASTER.   And so I clearly remember, Mother speaking to me, before I went, that she wanted me to listen and learn, and tell HER what I found out.

First Baptist Church,
Adams, MA
still looks the same today as it did then.
Notice the four windows in front.
That was the NURSERY where I went on that Easter Sunday morning so long ago.    I remember my expectation of a STORY...but all I saw was a lady on the floor helping a little boy build with the blocks.   Other children were coming in.   One child sitting in a small rocker with a doll.   I decided, "that is not what I want to do."   I was looking FOR A STORY.
Well.   All of a sudden I stopped, and looked at something
right between each of those four windows.
three pictures taped to the wall - of THE LORD JESUS.
Now you understand, I did not know who Jesus was, but
I knew Mother had said the stories would be about Him.
So I looked and it was like I was in
a CLOSED ROOM SHINING AND GLOWING
WITH THE PICTURES TO LOOK AT,
I DID NOT HEAR ANYTHING
I ONLY SAW THE PICTURES.
THERE WERE 12 OF THESE PICTURES.
I do not know much else.
I remember them.
The first was this one.
It was as if there was A HUSH WITHIN ME
AS I LOOKED AT THESE PICTURES.
I STOOD AT IT LOOKING, WONDERING
THEN WENT ON TO THE NEXT.

Mary was going somewhere.  And I knew she was
expecting a Baby.

These pictures are not the same as the ones
I saw that day, but they were similar.
I knew from the Christmas Songs that this was Baby Jesus who was born so long ago.

The Second Window had three more pictures.
I saw the Shepherds worshipping the Baby,

and knew from the Christmas Songs that they had been
told by the Angel that Jesus was born in Bethlehem.

There was Jesus, with the Wise Men who had come a long way to worship Him.

Here I knew somehow it was young Jesus.

.
The next picture was of Jesus in the Temple.

Now I turned and went to the spot between the second and third window.
I saw Jesus being baptized by someone.  I did not know at that time who John was, but the pictures were telling me it was Jesus who was here being baptized.

I knew Jesus was in this photo calling for followers.

Here is a picture I drew of the painting that I saw in Jesus with the children.    I remember looking at the picture a long time.
So now I was at the last panel of three pictures.

He made the blind to see.

Jesus on the Cross died.   I pondered on that.

on the road to Emmaus
This picture held me in its grip

Last of all, this picture

I KNEW HE ROSE TO HEAVEN.
I KNEW THAT WAS JESUS WHO
HAD COME AS A BABY
WAS NOW GOING TO HEAVEN.
Then

S U D D E N L Y

DddddddinnnnnNNNG !
SUNDAY SCHOOL BELL JUST RANG

voice
talking       some child crying      blocks noisily being put away.
The holy hush and quiet that had wrapped me in it
was
gone.

I saw my Aunt Althea come to get me.
Or was it Grandma?
I do not know.
I only know that I knew God had visited me
in those pictures.

When I got home, Mother asked me,
June, What did you learn today?
I said, Mother, I do not know, but it seems like God has sent Jesus to tell me about Him, and when I grow up I will understand it better.   I want to be like Him.

This was my Aunt Althea who took me to church that day.
At 95 she still lives in Savoy MA and is in touch with me.
I will never forget that day when I went on Easter Sunday to the First Baptist Church in Adams, MA.

It may have been my Grandmother who took me that day, I
only remember that I was so glad I went.

This
At five years of age, I knew somehow
that WHEN I GREW UP
I would KNOW HIM.

June Estelle Donato
was my name.

This was my Graduation Picture in 1951.
I found Christ as a girl at age 11 1/2.
That will be my next post.

bye for now.
The blood of Jesus Christ
washes away
all sin
completely
and
forever
I am washed
and made clean.
Jesus said, in John chapter 14,
"He that seeth me, hath seen the Father,"

I have placed my trust in the Living One
who came and humbled Himself
to become a Baby, grow up,
show us The Light, and
saved us by His death, burial and resurrection
from the dead !

He is alive.
He is coming again.
I am waiting,
looking,
trusting,
in Him.
